Vue is the ultimate adventure-capturing camera, ready to document life’s exciting outdoor experiences. With its compact design and ability to capture and live stream every moment, Vue is the ultimate tool to document the journey as outdoor enthusiasts thrill seekers conquer new heights and push the limits of adventure. Whether hiking, biking, white-water rafting, bungee jumping, or simply exploring a new place, Vue was designed to capture it all in stunning high-definition.
Brandmark
The Vue branding strikes a balance between tech and lifestyle. The brand is a reflection of Vue’s tech-savvy user who leads an adventurous life. We explored concepts of play, freedom, framing, and perspective before ultimately landing at the checkmark.
The Checkmark
The checkmark was the winning concept. This brand mark embodied the concept of the bucket list— a list of activities that one might aspire to complete in one’s life. Vue aids users in checking off the list items as they are completed and documenting the experiences.
Inspiration + Ideation
We pulled inspiration from forms that communicated durability. Exposed fasteners, heavy texture, and the use of silicone over-molded parts all communicated reliability and tactility.
The Camera Design
We know Vue will be used in a variety of conditions, so we needed to ensure an optimal design that would enable blind interactions. We designed a modular camera lens swapping system to allow users to swap lenses easily. Every touchpoint on Vue has a unique feel to guide the user.
The UX
Button layout and hierarchy were critical to generating a positive and intuitive user experience with the Vue cam. We ensured that each touchpoint would have a distinct feel and function.
Configure
We explored ways of making the Vue cam configurable to expand the life of the product. Everything from swappable batteries and lenses, to a robust ¼-20 tripod mount for limitless mounting configurations.
Accessories
We designed multiple mounting solutions to allow for great flexibility when deciding how to mount your Vue cam.
